“Four days in Tokyo to get it out of my system, then the Seto Inland Sea, which put something back in.”
Naoshima and Teshima rearranged what I think art is for. Not to be looked at. To be stood inside of, in the right light, with the right amount of silence. I have been trying to make work like that since.
